ORTHODOX – A Door Left Open – CD [JUN 6]

CD (Jewel Case)

Nashville’s ORTHODOX cement a foundation built through extensive North American touring, becoming a force in modern hardcore and metal circles with LP4,A Door Left Open(produced by Randy LeBoeufKublai Khan TX, The Acacia Strain, Boundaries). ORTHODOX’s fusion of chaotic rhythms, pushed-to-the-breaking-point riffing and explosively emotive vocals has refined itself to a bleeding edge proposition on tracks like “Sacred Place” or “Searching For a Pulse,” with help elsewhere by Mastodon drummer / vocalist Brann Dailor, Boundaries vocalist Matt McDougal and Comeback Kid frontman Andrew Neufeld. ORTHODOX have truly pushed hardcore heaviness to a new level of brutalityand in doing so ensured the door wasn’t just left open but blown off its hinges!
