Discoveryis the second studio album by the Frenchelectronic musicduoDaft Punk, released on 12 March 2001 byVirgin Records. It marked a shift from theChicago houseof their first album,Homework(1997), to ahousestyle more heavily inspired bydisco,post-disco,garage house, andR&B. The Daft Punk memberThomas BangalterdescribedDiscoveryas an exploration of song structures, musical forms and childhood nostalgia, compared to the “raw” electronic music ofHomework.
